1940s
Our story begins over 80 years ago, in the bustling gem markets of Jaipur, with a man named Fateh Singh Ji Karnawat. He did not inherit a business — he built one, stone by stone, with nothing but a discerning eye and an unshakeable belief in doing things properly. Where others saw commerce, he saw craft. He established a workshop dedicated to a single idea: that a gemstone deserved to be understood before it was ever set. That workshop, built on patience and precision, would go on to become the foundation of everything we are today.
1960s
Fateh Singh Ji passed his knowledge, and his name, to his son, Dan Singh Ji Karnawat. Under his care, the workshop's reputation deepened. He carried forward his father's exacting standards while steadily building the relationships and expertise that would allow the family's work to reach further than Jaipur's markets alone. It was a quieter chapter, but an essential one — the bridge between a founder's vision and everything that would follow.
1990s
Dan Singh Ji's three sons inherited the workshop together, and with it, a shared responsibility to honour what had come before while carrying it forward. Together, they expanded the family's reach and reputation, strengthening the craft, the sourcing relationships, and the trust built over two generations.
Today
Today, that legacy continues in the hands of Mehul Karnawat and Kshitij Karnawat — the fourth generation of the Karnawat family to dedicate themselves to this craft. They grew up around the workshop their great-grandfather built, learning the same patience, the same discernment, the same refusal to rush what deserves time.
Under their vision, that century-old workshop now becomes VALIORÈ — a modern house built on an 80-year-old foundation. The name is new. The hands, the values, and the belief that true luxury cannot be manufactured, only earned — these remain exactly as Fateh Singh Ji intended them, four generations ago.
